THIS online Kalendar is NOT an official Kalendar of the Western Rite Vicariate of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. It is, however, based directly on the Kalendars officially approved by the Western Rite Vicariate. The sources used are The Orthodox Missal, and the Ordo Kalendars for various years (all published by St. Luke's Priory Press). The actual information contained in each biographical article is taken chiefly from the Anglican Breviary, the Catholic Encyclopedia, and other minor sources.

However, certain saints and feasts not found in official Vicariate materials were added to this online Kalendar at the discretion of the compiler, and approved by the Western Rite Dean of the Central and Mountain States. Such additions are considered to be in line with the spirit of pre-Schism Western Christianity.

Please note that this archival project is under construction - new articles are constantly being added.
